INTEGRATED MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

From the mechanical problem to the finished component, with a single point of contact.

We design, validate with FEM analysis, produce in metal and composite, and rebuild out-of-production mechanical components. From your need to a ready-to-fit part, you deal with one company.

Three services, one engineering partner

Whether you need to get a stopped machine running again, develop a new component or make it lighter in carbon fiber, you have a single point of contact from start to finish. The sectors we work in are listed on each service page.

OUT-OF-PRODUCTION SPARE PARTS

Reconstruction of out-of-production mechanical spare parts

The machine is down for a part that no longer exists. We remake it with the right materials and tolerances for its function and deliver it ready to fit.

  • Off-catalogue components, or from manufacturers that no longer exist
  • We start from the worn part, dimensioned photos or an old drawing
  • We archive the project: the next reorder doesn’t start from scratch

DESIGN · FEM · PRODUCTION

Design, FEM analysis and production of special components

We design mechanical components and assemblies from scratch, check how they behave with FEM analysis and take them into production. You reach production with a design that has already been validated.

  • Mechanical design from requirement to production drawing
  • Structural, thermal and fatigue FEM analysis
  • Production of custom special components

CARBON-FIBER COMPOSITES

Design and production of carbon-fiber components

Lighter, stiffer components, designed and produced in composite: from the choice of layup to the molds, through to the finished part and material characterization.

  • Design in carbon and glass fiber
  • Layup optimization and dedicated molds
  • Production and material characterization

Why choose Vesalto

A single point of contact, start to finish

Design, analysis, production and reconstruction are all handled by us, from defining the need to delivery. No bouncing between different suppliers.

Engineering, not a copy

We don’t just copy the worn part as it is. We start from its function and choose materials and tolerances so it actually works.

Validated with FEM analysis

Before producing, we check stresses, deformations and safety factors. The component arrives already verified.

Stated lead time and price

You know what you spend and when it arrives, with a technical dossier on every job. Functional warranty: if the component doesn’t fulfil the agreed function, we remake it. It doesn’t cover wear from use.

RESEARCH AND EXPERTISE

Engineers with a research background

Vesalto was founded by mechanical engineers with PhDs, with experience in academia as researchers and in industry as designers and project managers. We bring that background to every component.

Design validated with FEM

We design and verify components with finite element analysis — structural, thermal and fatigue — before producing them. A methodology we refined over years of research and work on high-performance components.

High-damping composites

We developed carbon-fiber laminates with elastomeric nanofibers that increase vibration damping by up to 77%, within POR-FESR research projects.

Metal-composite hybrid structures

We combine carbon fiber and metal where stiffness, lightness and precise fittings matter: co-cured tubes with a viscoelastic interface and curing methods we developed ourselves.

International patent

We are co-inventors of an international patent (WO2023135510A1) for an ESR-type carbon-fiber device: proof of our path from research to the component.

See patent WO2023135510A1

Validation on real testing

We don’t stop at the calculation: we validate designs with experimental and field testing, up to functional verification with real users. It’s the rigor we bring to every job.

European research projects

We developed and validated the MyFlex-γ foot prosthesis within the European MyLeg project (Horizon 2020) and worked on advanced composites in regional POR-FESR projects: research taken all the way to the physical component.

How we work

One flow, from your need to the delivered component.

  1. We understand the need

We start from what you have: a broken component, an old drawing, a functional requirement or a survey to carry out. That is enough to begin.

  2. We design and validate

We draw or rebuild the component and check how it behaves with FEM analysis, choosing suitable materials and tolerances.

  3. We manufacture

We make it with the right machining and treatments for its function, keeping the critical dimensions under control.

  4. We deliver and archive

You get the part ready to fit, with the technical dossier. We archive the project: the next reorder doesn’t start from scratch.

About us

Vesalto was born from the meeting of two mechanical engineers with PhDs and a research background, with a simple idea: to bring R&D-level expertise to manufacturing SMEs. We are not mere middlemen: the engineering — design, FEM analysis, validation — is ours; we follow production directly, also through a network of qualified partners, keeping technical responsibility from start to finish.

  • Functional warranty on the agreed component
  • Technical dossier on every job
  • Non-disclosure agreements (NDA) on drawings and know-how
  • From the millimetric component to the complete system
  • Processes inspired by the ISO 9001/13485 standards the founders have worked under; ISO 9001 certification on the roadmap
